Today we were delighted to welcome another group of pupils from Cheltenham College as they begin their intergenerational visits with us for the year.
We have been fortunate to welcome Cheltenham College pupils each year, and these visits have become a lovely part of life in our home. The pupils will be joining us fortnightly, spending time with our residents, sharing conversations, taking part in activities and getting to know one another over the coming months.
Community is an important part of life at Cheltenham College, with pupils encouraged to understand the value of service, responsibility and compassion and to play an active role within the wider Cheltenham community.
Intergenerational visits provide something special for everyone involved. They offer opportunities to share stories and experiences, learn from one another, enjoy plenty of conversation and laughter, and build genuine friendships across the generations.
We really enjoyed welcoming our new group today and look forward to seeing these relationships grow during their fortnightly visits throughout the year.
