Job Application: Health Care Assistant (Days)

As our next Health Care Assistant, you will work 12-hour shifts (some of which will be split into 6 hours each), spread out across 3-4 days a week. Working over the weekend will be required, but please note that this will not be every weekend. Interested? Carry on reading to find out more about the role.

What will your day entail?

Day shifts start at 8am with the team arriving 5 to 10 minutes early so that cups of tea and coffee can be made in time for the morning briefing. Throughout the rest of the day, some of the duties you will carry out will include personal care, support serving meals, nutrition, assisting with activities and spending time with residents.

Residents are like family here at CKCH and it’s important to us that they feel safe, comfortable and happy. We also believe in supporting you, which is why at the start of your role with us you will have a thorough induction and the support of an experienced carer. You will also have the support of the senior carer on duty, as well as the manager, at all times.
