After breakfast, we set off for a lovely day out, taking the scenic route from Cheltenham to Birdland in Bourton-on-the-Water. On arrival, we spent time exploring some of the birds before stopping for a well earned cup of hot chocolate and a tasty snack.
Refreshed and ready to go, we enjoyed a gentle walk around the grounds, discovering even more beautiful birds along the way. The foresty, swampy, moss covered trail was a real highlight, lined with delicate snowdrops and even the odd dinosaur or two waiting to surprise us. We certainly did not mind getting our shoes, or wheels, a little muddy along the way.
We stopped off for lunch and a good chin wag, sharing stories and laughter, before heading back out to see the remaining birds. Of course, we could not resist a selfie or two along the way.
All in all, it was a fantastic day. Friends spending time together, sharing conversation, a hug, a hand to hold or an arm to link. Moments like these are what make days out so special. đź’›
