Donna put our college students under the spotlight as residents enjoyed asking them questions about themselves. It was a lovely activity full of conversation.
Alexa Lucy Varney
Alexa is 17 years old and from Windsor. She loves horses and would like to take a gap year after finishing school. During her gap year, she hopes to travel to Argentina to work on a polo ranch, or perhaps visit Bali.
After her gap year, Alexa would like to study psychology at either Bath or Newcastle University.
Alexa has enjoyed her experience at Charlton Kings Care Home so much that she encouraged her mum to volunteer at a care home near their home in Windsor. Her mum now helps out with activities a couple of times a week.
Joseph Edward Richardson
Joseph is 17 years old and from Bishop’s Cleeve in Cheltenham. He loves playing and watching sport, especially football and cricket.
Joseph has one older brother who is currently studying at Manchester University. After finishing school, Joseph would like to study business at either Leeds or Exeter University.
He has loved getting to know everyone at Charlton Kings Care Home and has really enjoyed his time with the residents.
