Today we celebrated Chinese New Year at our care home in Cheltenham with a day full of colour, culture and hands on activities for our residents.
Our lounges were decorated in traditional red and gold, creating a vibrant setting for the occasion. Residents enjoyed taking part in origami, carefully folding paper into beautiful shapes while learning about the meaning behind this traditional art. It was a lovely way to encourage focus, creativity and conversation.
We also sampled a selection of traditional Chinese foods, giving everyone the chance to try something different and explore new flavours together. Sharing food always brings people together, and today was no exception.
At our Cheltenham care home, we are committed to providing meaningful activities that support wellbeing, social connection and cultural awareness. Celebrating events such as Chinese New Year helps us create enriching experiences that residents truly enjoy.
