🎻 Live Music in Care Home | Welcoming Meg Back to Charlton Kings

There is something really special about live music in a care home, and this week we were so pleased to welcome Meg back with her violin.

Meg is a firm resident favourite here at Charlton Kings Care Home in Cheltenham. As soon as she began playing, the lounge quickly filled up. You could see the smiles straight away, hands tapping along, quiet singing, and those lovely moments where a familiar song brings back a memory.

Live music in care homes is about so much more than entertainment. It supports wellbeing, encourages social interaction and creates shared experiences that residents genuinely look forward to. Meg always takes time to chat between pieces, making sure everyone feels included and involved.

Afternoons like this are exactly why meaningful activities matter. Seeing residents relaxed, engaged and enjoying themselves together is what it is all about.
