Current Vacancies

As our next Health Care Assistant, you will work 12-hour shifts (some of which will be split into 6 hours each), spread out across 3-4 days a week. Working over the weekend will be required, but please note that this will not be every weekend. Interested? Carry on reading to find out more about the role.

What will your day entail?

Alternating between working 4 and 3 days per week, you will be required to work both day and night shifts. Day shifts start at 8am with the team arriving 5 to 10 minutes early so that cups of tea and coffee can be made in time for the morning briefing. Throughout the rest of the day, some of the duties you will carry out will include personal care, support serving meals, nutrition, assisting with activities and spending time with residents.  Our night shifts start at 8pm where you will be briefed before going about your evening duties; helping residents get ready for bed and ensuring they are comfortable. The night shift does tend to be quieter than our daytimes, but there will always be plenty to be done to keep you busy, as well as the need to prepared for it to become busy at any time. Our residents may need assistance throughout the night and a small amount of housekeeping jobs may need to be carried out.

Weekend work will be required but not every weekend. We will always try our best to be flexible when it comes to your shift work and occasionally it will be possible for you to switch to daytimes for a period of time, if you wish.

Occasional weekend work will be required but we always have a few housekeepers working at any one time, so you’ll never be on your own.
